Relationship Ecosystem Quiz

This quiz is a starting point for people who've felt unseen, excluded from mainstream sexuality and dating, impeded by mental health, defeated by systems reinforcing normative brains and bodies, that don't understand how you exist or relate. You are wanted and desirable exactly as you are, and ready to find others who celebrate that.

This is not a matching game, a horoscope, an archetype or a love language. Instead of a narrow categorical definition, it's a comprehensive picture of facets of you — displayed visually with easy pathways for digging deeper. Each dimension and score is constantly changing based on your needs and experiences, so it provides conversation starters and areas to explore before building connections which center our sensitivities and identities with care.

Love is magical and beautiful, but the barriers to safety, care and compatibility are real and worth understanding. This quiz, the results and the community ecosystem are rooted in shame-free, non-pathologizing vulnerability, anti-oppression, acceptance and curiosity for what could be in human and non-human relating. A note on AI: we use AI for infrastructure and data analysis only — all generative, creative and support reflections are human made.

Content notice: This quiz includes questions about mental health, sexuality, trauma, neurodivergence, suicidal ideation, and substance use. Take breaks as needed. Skip any question that doesn't feel safe right now.

This is not a clinical assessment — it is a self-awareness tool. It is not a substitute for therapy, diagnosis, or crisis support. However, it is designed to be useful to share with your therapist, partner, or others in your life as a starting point for conversation.

If you're experiencing suicidal ideation, please ask for help. Safety planning → · Crisis line: 988 · Text HOME to 741741

How We Got Free

Why this exists

I built this quiz after years of watching healing spaces — therapy, wellness culture, psychedelic work, even my own training — quietly reinforce the same patriarchal, colonial, capitalist patterns they claimed to be healing from. White healing spaces taught people to consume their way to wellness alone. What actually worked, almost every time, was something simpler and harder: other humans who actually cared, in community, not in a transaction.

I'm not from a culture with an unbroken lineage. I can't borrow the survival wisdom of communities who endured what mine didn't — and I won't pretend to. What I can do is build a tapestry of my own, openly, in support of and following the lead of the people whose knowledge this draws from, rather than extracting it.

Who taught me this

This work is shaped by — and accountable to — colleagues, teachers, and frameworks including: Molly Mitchell, Gary Smith, Raquel Savage, Yosenio Lewis, Dr. Yu Rock, Shadeen Francis, Afrosexology, Ruby Bouie Johnson, and Jimenekia Eborn. My colleagues in the AASECT community. The people doing trauma-informed kink work, and everyone who has called me in, called me out, and held me accountable along the way.

The actual vision

This quiz is the first piece of something larger: a decentralized, mutual-aid sex and dating ecosystem — not a dating app, not a matching algorithm. The long-term model: funds beyond what's needed to build this go into a decentralized fund supporting peer exchange and time-banked mutual aid, where labor and care are exchanged hour-for-hour, not by market value. Access isn't about meeting beauty standards — it's about vetting, education, accountability, and demonstrated care, centering the people most harmed by current sex and dating systems, including sex workers.
